Job Summary
The job holder is responsible for the production & co-ordination of project structural engineering, 3D
models and associated deliverables/outputs including 2D drawings, registers and reports. The job
holder will ensure that all structural engineering, design, draughting and reporting is carried out in timely
manner in line with DPS procedures, recognized International Standards and best engineering practice.
Job Responsibilites
Structural engineering & co-ordination including the following:
Structural analysis, co-ordination, checking and approval of 3D structural models, Payouts, drawings & procedures
Responsibility for generation of structural project deliverables in accordance with company’s quality procedures, international standards and best engineering practice.
Liaising with colleagues, vendors & clients on multiple projects
Job Requirements
Educated to degree level
Essential –
B.Eng (Hons) in Structural Engineering
Software Packages:
Essential -
Staad Pro, SACS, MS Word, MS Excel
Considerable, relevant & demonstrable experience in industrial or offshore structural engineering
Previous experience in structural project execution (inc scheduling & resourcing)
Desirable –
FPSO
Experience of 3rd party inspectorates such as DNV, ABS, Lloyds in relation to structural design
