Job Summary

As a Trainee Estimator / Scheduler, once training is completed, you will undertake a wide variety of key duties to ensure the smooth functionality and day-to-day running of  presales function. This will include preparing customer quotes and pricing schedules and ensuring company margins are protected and customer expectations are met. 

Following key company procedures, you will follow-up on customer enquiries by effectively preparing estimates, pricing schedules, tenders and bill of quantities. Building effective customer relations, you will identify and pursue selling opportunities with customers and liaise with staff to ensure the accurate and efficient pricing, scheduling and fulfilment of orders. 

Additionally, you will liaise with customers regarding their quotes and resolve any pricing queries. You will also ensure that supplier registration is completed and work in conjunction with the Purchasing Department to ensure supplies fulfil their obligations.

Job Requirements

To be considered, you must have, at a minimum, five GCSEs at C or above. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are also essential. 

As a Trainee Estimator / Scheduler, you must have strong interpersonal skills, a keen eye for detail and superb problem solving abilities. Customer- focused and driven, you must be willing to go the extra mile to aid others and ensure the effective delivery of a high level of customer service and be able to manage your workload effectively.
